On October 18, 2019, His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Salman, former Minister of Culture and Information of Saudi Arabia, led a delegation to visit Peking University (“PKU”) and King Abdulaziz Public Library Branch in Peking University (“Library Branch”). Zheng Qingwen, Secretary of the Party Committee of PKU Library and Director of the Library Branch, and Fu Zhiming, Deputy Dean of School of Foreign Languages of PKU and Director of the Arab Studies Center of the Library Branch, received the delegation together.

Professor Fu Zhiming, Director of the Arab Studies Center of the Library Branch, introduced the Library Branch roughly to the delegation and presented the Chinese and Arab calligraphy work "Inheriting Friendship" to the delegation as a gift, expressing the desire for friendly exchanges and deepening friendship between the two countries. Finally, the delegation visited the “Oriental Wisdom” Saudi Arabia—China Calligraphy and Culture Exhibition held in the Library Branch.
