On March 30, 2018, the “Oriental Wisdom: Saudi Arabia—China Calligraphy and Culture Exhibition” hosted by King Abdulaziz Public Library Branch in PKU coincided with the opening ceremony of the Library Branch. The exhibition displayed the core cultural concepts, artistic features, classic and contemporary works of Chinese and Arab calligraphy by means of writing, documents and multimedia technology. Su Shishu, Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, said that it was the spiritual wisdom and strength that endowed both Chinese and Arab calligraphy with the internal vitality of inheriting, developing and prospering their calligraphic art, and thus the “oriental wisdom” can be passed down in a resembled and consistent manner.
