1） Self-service borrow machine

Users can borrow or return books by themselves through the self-checkout machine, and can also check the borrowing status of their PKU ID cards.

Borrowing: After selecting the books to borrow, please click “borrow” on the screen, swipe the PKU ID card in the “please swipe reader card” area, and then place the books on the reaction board (the area under the purple light in the picture) according to the prompt. When a notice pops up saying that the borrowing is completed, you can take the book out of the library.

Account: Click “account” on the screen and swipe the PKU ID card in the “please swipe reader card” area according to the prompt, then you will see the book borrowing status of your PKU ID card.

Returning: Put the books to be returned on the reaction board (the area under the purple light in the picture), and you will be prompted that the borrowing is completed. Please put the books on the cart beside.

2）Self-service book sterilizer

The self-service book sterilizer that has two disinfection rooms can disinfect the books with ultraviolet rays. When using the upper disinfection room, spread the book evenly, hang it on the hanging rod, and then press the “upper-room disinfection” button; when using the lower disinfection room, spread the book evenly, fix it on the fixed frame, and then press the “lower-room disinfection” button; after the sterilizer stops operation, the sterilization and disinfection are completed.

Please do not open the door of the disinfection room during the operation of the sterilizer to prevent ultraviolet damage!
