In order to better support the relevant departments of PKU to carry out academic research, personnel development and social events, the Library Branch has specially designated the lecture hall (basement level one) , the training room (212) and the lounge (Room 110, basement level one) as the venues for public activities. They are now open to the faculty, staff and students of Peking University with valid certificates.

1. The Lecture Hall

The lecture hall, located at the basement level one of the Library Branch, is fitted with 152 sofa seats, a separate VIP reception room, an equipment room and a simultaneous interpreting room. The multimedia equipment including a stage, a platform, a LED widescreen, a projector, large-size TV panels, sound amplifying devices, etc. makes the lecture hall a perfect place for high-end academic lectures, seminars, conferences, film and music appreciation and other academic exchange activities.

2. The Lounge

The lounge, also Room 110 at the basement level one of the Library Branch, is fitted with 32 single sofas and eight round tables. This is a place where people can hold and attend buffet receptions, high-end salons, small conferences, concerts and other exchange activities.

3. The Training Room

The training room, also Room 212 on the second floor of the Library Branch, can accommodate about 50 people. The multimedia equipment including a projector, a screen, audio and others enables it to hold academic exchange activities such as lectures, seminars, training, conferences, and film and music appreciation.
